Chronogram

For the following plan, “author” represents the person who writes and updates the content of the English version of the travel guide, as well as who helps market the guide and find sponsors.

The procedure to develop a “For Partiers” guide is as follows
AUTHOR+SALESPERSON
SOLCAT
  • spends 1 month writing For Partiers guide for a specific destination
  • partners with establishments looking for a free bônus (free drink, dessert, shirt etc) or discounts (20% off on museum ) for site visitors with printable coupon
  • around the 9th month, send them proposals for advertising in the guide, asking for a quick meeting to explain the various options and prices
  • close deals with sponsored establishments,
  • distribute around destination either by the author or using a local distributor
  • push local bulk sales (agencies, wedding planners, fairs and conventions, hotels )
  • renew sponsor ship contracts
  • puts the guide online for free to any visitor
  • start to offer simple travel services (apt rentals, hotel bookings, boat rentals, tours etc)
  • partner with large travel agency and offer their tickets on site
  • keep partners (restaurants, tours, sports instructors and bars) aware that site is up and keep them updated on the visitorship (“your bike tour page got 59 visits last month.”)
  • print book
  • ship to destination and US fulfillment center
  • sell online, amazon, US and EU bookstores
  • market to sell on other sites
  • keep sponsors updated on stats
  • develop multi-lingual site
AUTHOR/ SOLCAT:
  • collect photos from tourism agencies, royaltee free sites or local photographers, add to site as they come
  • promote and send free copies to media, tourism authorities
  • develop marketing campaigns (posters, give aways, point of purchase etc)
  • offer more and fine tune existing travel services

As you can see, there are many phases to the Project, and although none is incredibly hard per-se, all require at least 20 hours every month.

Split

All net-profits from all 3 sources of revenue will be split between Solcat and Author according to each contract.
